We love Don Juan's and have been going there for years. The food is the best Mexican food in the area and the owner and staff are very friendly.

Don Juan's is consistently one of the best all around Mexican restaurants in Humboldt County. Favorites include carne asada burritos ala carte or in combination plates, tostadas, all the senior menu dishes, and special dishes such as carnitas or nopales plates.
My family has been eating here since it opened the first time, before the fire burned it to the ground. We patiently waited for years for it to rebuilt, and began going again as soon as they reopened. Unfortunately, two other Mexican restaurants went into business across the street and down the road before they could reopen, creating a lot of competition in a small community. We still prefer Don Juan's.

Don Juan's has the best Mexican food we have tasted. My wife and I are from Southern California. We have dined extensively in Mexican restaurants in the Southwest. Don Juan's serves the best Mexican food bar none. Service and value are also excellent. Nice family atmosphere. They offer a lunch buffet but order off the menu for the finest culinary experience. We retired to McKinleyville several years ago. We try to dine at Don Juan's at least once a week.
